About the Summer School

The Woods Hole Child Center Summer Program is an introduction to science for young children, ages 3-7. In this program, children explore their natural environment through age-appropriate science lessons, art activities, special guests and outdoor play.  Each week there is a school-wide focus, as the children explore plants, ocean creatures, insects, pets, sand, and water. Children are grouped into either the younger or older class. For the older class, there will be field trips to places of interest in the Woods Hole and Falmouth area.  Parents are required to assist with one field trip.  The younger class will go on local walking field trips.

Summer school applications accepted starting in April 2024. Registration must be mailed or dropped at the school after April 1st. No email registrations will be accepted. We offer five day, three-day (M,W,F), and two-day (T,Th) enrollment. The program will run from 9 am – 12:30 pm daily.
