Anne Clarkin – Director and Older Class Teacher

Anne has a B.A. in Women’s Studies and a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education. She has served the community for many years as an employee of the Falmouth Public Library, and a teacher in the Falmouth Jewish Congregation’s religious school. Anne has been the younger class teacher since 2009 and has a long association with the school as a parent, Board member, and substitute teacher. Her classroom aquariums and worm bins fascinate the children and are just some of the ways Anne’s love of nature is woven into the daily life of the Child Center.

Allison Colburn – Younger Class Teacher

Allison is an EEC licensed preschool teacher and has worked in the Child Center’s summer program since 2005, first as a teaching assistant and then as the younger class teacher.  Allison’s history with the school started long before she became a teacher here as she is also a Woods Hole Child Center alum.

Allison was hired in 2019 as the new younger class teacher after the retirement of Darryl duRivage. She has a passion for music and brightens the class with her singing. Allison loves animals and nature and enjoys helping children to explore the world around them. She believes in the importance of play and encourages children to follow their natural curiosity in order to grow and learn.
