Welcome to Woods Hole Child Center, a cooperative preschool, located in Woods Hole, MA. Our community of teachers, students and parent helpers make this a warm and inviting atmosphere for children ages 2.9-5 to build a foundation for learning. Our program provides for and encourages ample opportunity for free play, both inside and outdoors. WHCC teachers encourage play in all forms, from ditch digging to dress-up, painting to building rocket ships. Weekly themes are introduced to guide children to explore new ideas and subjects while at play.
We believe that through play children gain an understanding of the world and their place in it. Providing children with a safe, stimulating, multi-sensory environment encourages a strong foundation and creates pathways to self-discovery. It is through social interactions with peers that children learn to be confident, gain the ability to make individual choices, and develop problem-solving skills while building and reinforcing their self-esteem.
